  • Who is this program suitable for?
This training is designed to be simple enough for anybody who is interested in learning how to heal and transform trauma for themselves and others. Participants are not required to be a professional or have previous experience in this field in order to take part in this program. Because of the nature of the training material, individuals should possess maturity and compassion and will be required to complete an application form prior to the program to ensure a safe and meaningful learning experience.
  • How do I become a certified TVMâ„¢ Practitioner? Is this an accredited program?
Upon completion of the training, students will be required to submit a number of documented and signed practicum sessions and complete a practical assessment. Certification requirements: Completion of TVM™ training (online and in person when applicable) Satisfactory completion of a practical assessment during the TVM™ training Completion of 20 volunteer sessions, with signed & dated declarations Another interview & formal practical assessment Completion of 16 personal TVM™ sessions for trainees personal development & nervous system regulation, to be conducted by a TVM™ Practitioner in good standing, not a fellow trainee. Review & signing declaration of TVM™ Practitioner in good standing contract Completion of HIPAA certification and privacy of information protocols. After meeting all requirements, the Integrated Somatic Institute will provide the student with a Certificate of Completion and Licensing Number. With this certification, students will then have the option to acquire liability insurance and to work in the field of Somatics as a TVM™ Practitioner. All practitioners will also be required to maintain up-to-date HIPPA Certification regardless of where they are practicing in the world. We also require Practitioners in good standing to get updated to their local region regulations with regards to licensing, insurance, protection of client information, and ethical standards of therapeutic compliance. At this time, there are no official regulating bodies responsible for governing the field of Somatics in the United States of America, even though some states have issued independent state review requirements to be able to practice somatic therapy as a "therapist" versus "practitioner". Triple Vagal Method® and the Integrated Somatic Institute are leaders and innovators in this field and are meeting or exceeding the current recommended standards.
  • Do you offer payment plans or scholarships?

  • What is the difference between the regular TVMâ„¢ Training and the TVMâ„¢ Advanced Practitioner Training?
The regular TVM™ training is an excellent gateway into the practice and understanding of the Triple Vagal Method®, and allows participants to experience all the benefits of this modality through personal practice and hands-on exercises. At the end of the training, and upon completion of required documented practicum sessions, participants will then become certified with the Integrated Somatic Institute. The TVM™ Advanced Practitioner training offers advanced knowledge in the field of somatics and psychology of the body, a broader understanding of how TVM™ interacts with quantum physics, as well as finessed and enhanced techniques of working with TVM™. This training prepares practitioners to work with more emotional, physical and/or complex cases, and is also the prerequisite for becoming a TVM™ Educator.
  • What is the TVMâ„¢ Pelvic Floor Training?
TVMâ„¢ Pelvic Floor training offers a beautiful and sensitive approach to understanding & healing the structural and emotional trauma of this region and the neurological lines that travel through it. Stored trauma in the pelvic floor can severely impair an individuals health, both physically and emotionally, effect somatic movement and compromise posture, mobility and range of motion. The amount of healing that can occur when using TVMâ„¢ to release trauma from this area can be completely life changing.
  • Are there any pre-requisites to each training?
Every training in TVM requires potential trainees to fill out an application, that will be assessed individually for suitability for this line of work. An ability to self soothe and hold space for yourself in case of any triggers that may occasionally arise during the training and trauma work are essential to participate in any TVM training cohort. The Integrated Somatic Institute holds the right to dismiss any trainee on being ineligible to continue training due to any potential risks associated with professionalism necessary to be a qualified trauma transformation therapist, without prior warning and without refund of tuition fees. The completion of a TVM training does not guarantee successful TVM Practitioner status. Both the Advanced Practitioner and TVM Pelvic Floor trainings require the completion of the regular TVM Practitioner training. However, certification as a regular TVM practitioner does not need to be complete to enter into the more advanced training modules. Full payment of training tuition fees is required prior to training commencement, unless otherwise agreed upon in a payment plan contract.
  • Where and how often are the live TVM trainings offered?
There is no regular schedule for in-person trainings. As more educators are completing their training, we will be able to offer more hands-on training all over the globe. Keep checking our website, and please do reach out to us if you’d like to see a training in your area! We always like to know where interest is for this incredible work!
  • Is there room and board available for the in-person trainings?
In some cases room and board are available, depending on the location of the training. If you are looking for further information, please contact us at info@integratedsomaticinstitute.com to inquire about accommodation options for the specific training you are interested in attending.
  • What can I expect during a TVMâ„¢ training? Are there things that I need to consider regarding integration/after care?
During the training, students will receive lectures on the development of the nervous system, on definitions of trauma and how it gets stored in the body, polyvagal theory as it relates to TVMâ„¢, introductions into Chinese Medicine, Somatics, and many other topics, preparing them to become a somatic trauma transformation practitioner. All students will have many opportunities for hands-on practice, learning a trauma-informed approach to both giving and receiving TVMâ„¢ throughout the training. Participants will be experiencing first hand, the effectiveness of TVMâ„¢, as they begin to heal their own trauma and discover the profound healing potential of this method. For aftercare following the training, students are encouraged to take sufficient time and practice the recommended protocols to support them in having a safe and gentle integration experience.
  • Will I be sharing practice space during the training?
Yes. As there usually are several trainees to an educator, practices will most likely be held in shared spaces. This also depends on the location where the training is offered. Oftentimes, practicing in shared spaces can have beautiful ripple effects: When one of us heals, we all heal. Also, these opportunities offer incredible healing potentials both for the individuals receiving TVM, and for trainees witnessing them in their process.
  • Can I host a TVM training in my community?
Absolutely! Once you’ve completed the TVM Practitioner certification process, and the Advanced Practitioner training and certification, you will be able to host your own trainings, with full support of the Integrated Somatic Institute in realms of curriculum, marketing and teaching. Our goal is to spread TVM, and trauma healing, to as many people as possible, so educating more TVM Teachers is very close to our heart, and at the core of the ISI’s goals.
  • If I can’t make it to an in-person training, can I do the online training as a stand alone program?
Yes, the online training is available as a stand-alone training, and will enable you to become a fully licensed TVMâ„¢ practitioner. It's a self-paced program, with regular live calls and one on one mentoring with an experienced TVMâ„¢ facilitator.
